Natallia Liakina

Natallia Liakina is a Senior Faculty Lecturer at 91ºÚÁÏ꿉۪s French Language Centre, where she has taught since 2006. She holds an M.A. in Applied Linguistics from the University of Western Ontario, a B.Ed. in Foreign Language Didactics, and a B.A. in Linguistics from Minsk State Linguistic University. At the French Language Centre, she has extensive experience in developing French-as-a-second-language courses and programs, creating instructional materials, academic administration, and teacher training, and her research focuses on the didactics of oral skills, corrective phonetics, task-based language teaching, and technology-mediated language education.

Prior to her appointment as Associate Provost, Rayonnement du français, Natallia served as Special Advisor to the Provost, where she was responsible for advancing French language learning and Francophone initiatives across the University. In this capacity, she contributed to the development and implementation of institution-wide initiatives aimed at strengthening access to French-language learning and deepening 91ºÚÁÏ꿉۪s engagement with Québec’s francophone community. In her new role, she will continue this work at the institutional level in support of teaching, research, student experience, and community engagement in French.
