Library Council

Purpose

There shall be a Library Council for the purpose of providing a collegial forum to advise the Trenholme Dean or Director of Libraries on matters relating to the role of 91�� Libraries in teaching, learning and research, and to the provision of high quality library service.

Composition

All persons holding an appointment as a member of the librarian academic staff in the 91�� Libraries

91�� is on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg nations. We acknowledge and thank the diverse Indigenous peoples whose presence marks this territory on which peoples of the world now gather. The 91�� Libraries recognize the harm that cultural heritage organizations, as colonial institutions, have inflicted on Indigenous peoples. We are committed to the ongoing process of reconciliation as a way to begin to right these wrongs.
