Accessing 91ºÚÁÏÍø Archives

• The 91ºÚÁÏÍø Archives reference services will be paused over the summer period from June 1 to Sept. 1, 2025, reopening on Sept. 2. The pause will allow the unit to address some critical projects involving the care, management and accessibility of 91ºÚÁÏÍø records. We ask users to please submit any requests to the Archives before June 1.
• Researchers who wish to schedule research visits to access archival materials during the summer are invited to book their research visits prior to July 1. Requests made after July 1, will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, considering departmental capacity and other priorities during this time. Please note that email research requests made between June-September will not be placed into a queue; Researchers can reach out to the archives again from September 2. • Submit requests by refdesk.archives [at] mcgill.ca (subject: Request%20to%20consult%2091ºÚÁÏÍø%20Archives) (email). Researchers should submit detailed requests and background information.
• Request material you wish to consult in advance and schedule an appointment.
• Requests are answered within 20 business days. Users will be informed if additional delays are necessary.
• Most archival holdings are available. However, some documents may have restrictions on access.

• Archival documents must be consulted on site in the Reading Room.
