In an effort to support D2R researchers in meaningfully incorporating the principles of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) into their research design and research practice, the D2R EDI Community of Practice for trainees is organizing an event to discuss and problem solve through common EDI mistakes in the context of RNA research. In this event, four speakers will share anecdotes on major EDI pitfalls they have encountered and strategies others can use to prevent them in the future.听

- Opportunities and challenges of Black people in RNA research: In this Black History Month webinar, researchers from 91黑料网 and D2R鈥檚 Senior EDI Advisor discussed the importance of Black people in RNA therapeutics, highlighting their role in research practices and research design.
- The future of genomic medicine and its implications for RNA therapies: Organized by D2R and AReNa, this symposium at the 92nd Acfas Congress, explored three topics within the field of RNA therapies: collaboration, ethics and equity, and data science. - Opportunities and challenges of the 2SLGBTQIA+ Community in RNA Research: During this D2R Pride Month webinar, 91黑料网 speakers ;including Amirah-Iman Hicks, Raquel Cuella Martin;and Benjamin Kaufman;talked about their experiences and the importance of RNA research that is equitable and inclusive towards the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
- Breast Cancer & RNA Therapeutics: Exploring inclusive research and career opportunities: D2R听and the听听for an event in honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Women's History Month, in collaboration with听听and the association听.听All are welcome to this听颈苍-辫别谤蝉辞苍听event to engage in discussion about how听equity, diversity and inclusion听and genomic-guided听RNA therapeutics听work in tandem to advance the fight against breast cancer.听
- Introduction to Applying Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in Genomic-Based RNA Therapeutics Research: A learning opportunity to gain foundational knowledge and practical tools to embed Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) into your genomic-based RNA therapeutics research. Through engaging discussions and activities, participants will explore key EDI definitions, examine both opportunities and challenges in the field, and learn best practices for inclusive research design.
- Mental Health in Highly Performant Environments: In honour of the International Day for Persons with Disabilities, D2R is partnering with the Quebec Interuniversity Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Network to host this workshop.
- Anti-Black Racism in Health Research: In honour of Black History Month, this session explores the history of slavery in Canada, traces the evolution of anti-Black racism within Canadian health research, and highlights practices and strategies to address and counter these challenges.
