The Desautels MBA Office hosted the inaugural Significant Other Welcome event on October 6th, 2016. Spouses and partners of those pursuing their MBA at Desautels were invited to brunch for a unique opportunity to mingle and learn more about the program. The day culminated with a campus tour and a group picture in front of the Redpath Museum, the traditional location for MBA class pictures. Given the success of the event, the MBA Office anticipates hosting similar initiatives to foster an even closer community among their students.

Air Canada and WestJet are facing a potential class action lawsuit after imposing checked baggage fees only days apart.

The proposed class action alleges that the two airlines colluded to impose the fees and have unjustly enriched themselves in the process.

...Karl Moore, an aviation expert at 91's Desautels Faculty of Management, found the collusion allegations far fetched.

"I think it's highly unlikely they would collude, it's not the nature of the beast, they're just fierce competitors," Moore said.

Isabelle Bajeux-Besnainou doesn’t know what it’s like to be a man in charge of a business school. And she doesn’t particularly care.
