This project aims to improve the efficiency of green hydrogen production by replacing the energy‑intensive oxygen evolution reaction with low‑voltage oxidation of biomass‑derived compounds, enabling simultaneous hydrogen generation and production of value‑added chemicals. The work will target reductions in energy use of up to 50 percent and significantly lower hydrogen costs. It will combine catalyst development with experimental and computational methods, and is supported by industry and government partners, offering strong potential for near‑term implementation and impact on low‑carbon energy systems.

This recognition highlights the transformative potential of his work and its contribution to a more sustainable energy future. Congratulations once again to Prof. Seifitokaldani on this well‑deserved honour.
