Graduate Student, Master of Science in Sustainability Management, University of Toronto (Mississauga, ON)

Since graduating from 91ºÚÁÏÍø's SSS program, I have completed my second summer internship with PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Sustainability Assurance and Reporting intern in Toronto. This role involved supporting clients in enhancing the credibility and transparency of their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) disclosures by assisting with data verification, aligning reports with global sustainability standards, and contributing to assurance engagements that promote accountability and trust. Through this opportunity, I have broadened my knowledge of industry alignment with global sustainability disclosures, such as the European Union's Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), California's Senate Bills 253 and 261, and the Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards S1 and S2.

As of September 2025, I will be a Master's student at the University of Toronto (Mississauga) studying Sustainability Management. As a course-based Master's program, it aims to integrate knowledge from management, social sciences, and natural sciences to tackle sustainability challenges effectively and holistically. Building on SSS's interdisciplinary perspective, this program will equip me with a holistic account of sustainability that draws from environment, economics, accounting, and management.

If students are curious about the sustainability reporting and assurance space or transitioning from undergraduate to graduate studies, please get in touch with me!

As Coordinator of Climate Change Monitoring:

  • Spearhead the development of the Cree Nation's climate monitoring network, enhancing data collection through robust yet specialized weather stations.
  • Design user-friendly systems, including a mobile app and community screens, to ensure accessibility of climate data.
  • Collaborate with local, regional and external stakeholders to promote awareness and engagement in climate initiatives, fostering community resilience.

I am also a member of the National Assessment Advisory Committee from Natural Resources Canada (NRCan). NRCan has launched the next Canada in a Changing Climate: National Assessment Process of how and why Canada’s climate is changing; the impacts of these changes on our communities, environment, and economy; and how we are adapting. Reports produced in the last process can be found on . The reports produced through this process are structured to inform sound decision-making on climate change adaptation, without being policy prescriptive. The last assessment process introduced new and innovative approaches to increase engagement and inclusivity of different knowledge types. This next process will build off that work.

Senior Policy Advisor,  Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing (Toronto, ON)

Since graduating from 91ºÚÁÏÍø in 2018 with a BA&Sc in Sustainability, Science and Society, I earned a Masters of Public Policy and Administration at Carleton University, Class of 2021. I was employed by the Government of Canada in the Department of Canadian Heritage during my Masters. There I worked as a policy analyst in the Official Languages Branch, on a team reviewing and modernizing quasi-constitutional legislation. I have been working with the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing in Toronto since 2023, first as a Municipal Advisor, and more recently as a Senior Policy Analyst. The SSS program developed my systems thinking skills, which are useful when working on or studying large social problems. The balance of the SSS program created a basis to develop my evidence-based policy skills.

Post-doctoral Researcher, National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), France

Since the SSS program, after working one year as an animator in a shared garden, I geared towards the second "S" of Sustainability, Science and Society. I enrolled in a Master's in Biodiversity, Ecology, Evolution. During the degree I met my future PhD advisors and worked with them on the evolution of plant traits and consequences on ecosystem functioning. I am now a post-doctoral researcher in the French Pyrénées, exploring the role of species and biodiversity on ecosystem functioning in the pleasant anti-capitalist vibe of this region.

Senior Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Manager - Climate Action Implementation Programme, C40 Cities (Barcelona, Spain)

When I left 91ºÚÁÏÍø with a BA&Sc in Sustainability, Science, and Society, I didn’t have my next steps planned out. Several months had passed before I stumbled onto a permaculture internship and field course in rural Mexico. After a few more months and with a bit more direction, I found myself moving to Rome for an internship at the International Fund for Agricultural Development’s Land Tenure Desk. Through that internship and two subsequent consultancies, I learned about the complicated networks of formal and informal systems governing the fringes of growing cities. Wanting to reinforce this knowledge, I moved to London for the MSc in Environment and Sustainable Development at UCL. This degree investigated the accumulation of urban environmental risk in informal settlements and included fieldwork in Freetown, Sierra Leone. Since 2022, I have been involved with monitoring and evaluation of the Climate Action Implementation Programme with in the UK and in Spain.

Ecological Data Analyst, Government of British Columbia

I leverage my GIS and spatial statistics skills that I learned in the SSS program every day as an ecological data analyst for the Government of British Columbia. My workday involves analyzing spatial data of all sorts - things ranging from GPS collars on elk, to coordinates of known black bear den locations, to acoustic recording data of bird songs at a given site - and gleaning what information I can to inform wildlife management.

AI Senior Product Marketing Manager, Zappier | Food Podcaster, Farm to Future (Boston, MA)

After completing my Honors thesis on tomatoes and urban agriculture and graduating with a BA&Sc in Sustainability, Science, and Society, I worked at the J.W. McConnell Foundation on their new fund called Cities For People. I then moved back to Vancouver to help build the local cleantech startup community through the organization GreenTech Exchange. This opened my eyes to the potential for entrepreneurship to drive social change, a perspective I brought to my Master of Design Studies degree (in Urbanism, Landscape, Ecology) at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. There, I got to further research food through a cultural and landscape lens, and wrote a children’s book about acorns for my thesis. In parallel, I co-founded an education company to help design better K-12 classrooms. Since then, I’ve helped build a number of tech companies in Boston as a marketer and advisor, and hosted a podcast on mental health for entrepreneurs. I now work with Zappier as an AI product marketer, and host the podcast "Farm to Future" engaging with farmers, chefs, and food brands on how to shop smarter, grow your own food, and eat more in tune with the land you live on.
