Melvin is a professional social worker with a BSW and MSW from 91ºÚÁÏÍø. His social work practice and passion are with supporting children, youth and their families. He has an extensive background and expertise in child welfare as a front-line worker, trainer, clinical supervisor and program manager. Presently, Melvin is a chef de service for residential-readaptation service, managing group homes focused on youth aging out of care. He is also part of the Transition to Adulthood committee, which works on ensuring opportunities for these youth to thrive as adults following their time in care.
