SciLearn Peer Collaboration

SciLearn Peer Collaboration ("the Peer Collab")Ìýis a space for undergraduate students in Science courses to learn collaboratively with the support of teaching assistants (TAs), undergraduate peer mentors, and course instructors. For the Winter 2026 term, the Peer Collab is openÌýweekdays 3-5 PM, January 19 to April 14 in the Burnside Hall Basement room 1B23.

At the Peer Collab, students are invited to:

  1. Attend course-specific sessions: Meet and learn with peers in 10+ Science courses each semester. TAs, peer mentors, and course instructorsÌýare present to guideÌýyou and answer your questions, as you work onÌýhomework and prepare for assessments. View the course schedule, as course-specific sessions alternate daily.
  2. Participate in open study sessions and take a break in the chill space: BYOF(riends) or make new ones in this self-directed space, openÌýevery day. Enjoy free hot drinks and relaxing activities (e.g. puzzles, colouring, cards, etc.) before returning to studying.
  3. Earn free snacks:ÌýWe partner with Soupe Café to give you a free baked goodÌýevery 5th visit!ÌýDrop by the welcome table outside room 1B23 to pick up your loyalty card and get a stamp eachÌývisit.

You can find our welcome desk outside the Burnside Hall basement, room 1B23. Begin your visit at the welcome desk so that our team can direct you to your space of choice!

Burnside Hall basement room 1B23 can be accessed via theÌýnorth or south entrances to Burnside Hall. Once in the building, please proceed to the stairs or elevator and descend one floor to the basement. When exiting the elevators, the welcome desk is straight ahead and to the right. When exiting the stairwells, please follow building signage to reach room 1B23, which has a purple door. The north entrance to Burnside Hall has automatic, power-operated doors and there is an elevator to the space. Gender-inclusive, accessible bathrooms are available on the same floor in rooms 1B-WC1 and 1B-WC2. The space is not scent- or allergen-free, and rooms are lit by artificial light.ÌýThere is public (91ºÚÁÏÍø) wifi available and outlets for charging electronic devices.
