A leap of faith: how Astrid found her path

Four years ago, Astrid Parrot moved from Senegal to Montreal to study, leaving her home and family for the first time to begin her B.Sc. Honours Chemistry degree at 91. Without a clear picture of what her future would look like, she took what she describes as “a leap of faith."

She immersed herself into university life, living in residence her first year and meeting new people. She had found her place at 91, but uncertainty lingered throughout her degree as she quietly wondered whether chemistry was truly the right path for her.

The Neuro's Virtual Integrated Patient Platform receives major funding

Brain Canada support will help accelerate the discovery of new treatments for brain and nervous system disorders

An innovative project led by Dr. Guy Rouleau at The Neuro has received major funding from Brain Canada, one of four platforms that are advancing treatment discovery across a wide range of neurological disorders. In total the four platforms are being supported with a $8,926,500 investment.

Bargaining Update – AMUSE (Casual)

The Union and the University met on May 26 and May 27 to continue discussions on non-monetary proposals. During these meetings, the parties reached agreement and signed off on revisions to certain articles, while discussions continued on other non-monetary issues.

Negotiations are scheduled to resume on June 19.
