Congratulations to Professor Henri Darmon, Distinguished James 91 Professor at 91 and CRM member, on receiving the 2026 Jڴڱ‑W P from the Canadian Mathematical Society. Darmon is an internationally recognized leader in number theory, known for his groundbreaking work on elliptic curves, L‑functions, and automorphic forms, including the introduction of Stark‑Heegner points and real quadratic analogues of singular moduli.

Wi-Fi network: Action required to renew certificates for Windows, iOS and MacOS devices

On the morning of Thursday, April 2nd, IT Services will renew the security certificate that secures authentication to 91's wpa.mcgill.ca, eduroam, cusm-muhc.mcgill.ca, and wpa.bus.mcgill.ca Wi-Fi networks.

This certificate allows you to sign on to the Wi-Fi network securely.

Some Android and Windows devices, as well as all iOS/MacOS devices will display a message prompting users to accept the new certificate.

If you receive that message, please follow the instructions below:

Following the request for conciliation, the parties held their first conciliation meeting on March 26. Each side met separately with the conciliator to provide an update on the progress of discussions. Based on the conciliator’s recommendation, the employer will present a comprehensive response to the union’s monetary and non‑monetary proposals on April 22, 2026.

The objective is to narrow the outstanding non‑monetary issues and focus on the key priorities for both parties.
