Obstetrical medicine is a fascinating area of research, owing to the numerous knowledge gaps in this area, and the rapidly changing maternal demographic. Natalie Dayan
Dr聽Dayan鈥檚 research focus is on cardiometabolic health throughout the puerperium. She has published on pregnancy outcomes in women with chronic medical conditions such as obesity, hypertension, and heart disease who conceive with fertility therapy. She is also working on studies evaluating the mechanism for increased risk of cardiovascular disease following complications during pregnancy such as the hypertensive disorders.
Isabelle Malham茅
Dr Malham茅鈥檚 research focus is on severe cardiovascular complications occurring during pregnancy and the postpartum period. Her Master鈥檚 thesis was on peripartum cardiomyopathy and its relationship with preeclampsia.
Emily G. McDonald
Dr. McDonald鈥檚 research focus in on quality improvement. She has completed her MSc thesis evaluating exposure to toxic immune modulating drugs for autoimmune disease in pregnancy.
