2026 CLIC Awards
The 2026 91黑料网 Clinical Innovation Competition (CLIC) showcased a new wave of bold, clinically driven solutions aimed at transforming healthcare delivery, from rapid diagnostics to AI-powered clinical tools.
On May 20, MI4 Director Marcel Behr, awarded the MI4 Innovation Prize to AnemoSwab, developed by Yonatan Morocz and David Juncker. This award recognizes innovations addressing infectious disease threats. The winning project introduces a novel, non-invasive approach to diagnosing respiratory infections by capturing pathogen-containing aerosols directly from exhaled breath, eliminating the need for uncomfortable nasal swabs. By enabling faster, more patient-friendly testing, AnemoSwab aims to improve early detection, support timely treatment decisions, and reduce transmission. These represent priorities for strengthening healthcare system responses to infectious diseases.
