Do I need a report of invention (ROI) to apply to ±õ²Ô²Ô´Ç±¹³§²¹²Ô³Ùé program?
No, you are not required to have a ROI to apply to the program.
Is there project funding provided in the ±õ²Ô²Ô´Ç±¹³§²¹²Ô³Ùé program?
There is no direct project funding through the ±õ²Ô²Ô´Ç±¹³§²¹²Ô³Ùé program. ±õ²Ô²Ô´Ç±¹³§²¹²Ô³Ùé participating teams will have access to MBA student interns who offer business support. Participating teams are also encouraged to apply for project funding opportunities provided by our ecosystem partners.
What types of healthcare project are you looking for?
This program is designed for research teams from Quebec public universities and their affiliated university hospitals and research institutes, interested in commercializing their research (TRL 3 - 7) in the fields of therapeutics, diagnostics, digital health, surgical tools, drug discovery and development tools, and medical devices.
Team Composition
Each team must include a faculty lead (Principal Investigator) and a current graduate student (Master’s or PhD), Postdoctoral Fellow, or Research Associate/Assistant.
Does the program only accept research teams from the Faculty of Medicine?
No, the research team can be from any faculty as long as they meet the following criteria 2 criteria:
- They are working on an evidence-based healthcare project (TRL 3-4)
- They are based at a Quebec public university or the affiliated university hospitals or university research institutes and are interested in commercializing their research project
IP Management
±õ²Ô²Ô´Ç±¹³§²¹²Ô³Ùé does not claim ownership of your Intellectual Property (IP). If your project is currently in the research stage, the IPs developed during the program must be reported to the Technology Transfer Office at your institution.
IP Protection
In order to protect the confidentiality of projects participating in the ±õ²Ô²Ô´Ç±¹³§²¹²Ô³Ùé program, teams are reminded to share non confidential information only during their regular meetings with their assigned EiR as well as meetings with the stakeholders.
How soon will I know whether our project got accepted into ±õ²Ô²Ô´Ç±¹³§²¹²Ô³Ùé or not after submitting the application form?
Teams will be notified within a month after submitting the application form.
How are the submissions being evaluated?
The submissions are evaluated by ±õ²Ô²Ô´Ç±¹³§²¹²Ô³Ùé’s steering committee based on the following criteria: problem and commercial applications, proposed solution, prospective competitive advantages, technical feasibility, commercialization potential.
I am interested in applying to the ±õ²Ô²Ô´Ç±¹³§²¹²Ô³Ùé, but I don’t have any technology commercialization experience or business experience, where should I start?

Your team needs to be part of the ±õ²Ô²Ô´Ç±¹³§²¹²Ô³Ùé program to have the privileged access to have an MBA intern. Detailed process can be found on the MBA intern page.
Is there any follow-up support after completing the ±õ²Ô²Ô´Ç±¹³§²¹²Ô³Ùé program?
Upon the completion of the program, you will have a clear understanding of the ecosystem and will be able to identify the follow-on accelerator program(s) that will help you further advance commercializing your healthcare technology.
