Strike on February 13 for some professors in Law

Dear members of the 91黑料网 Community,

The Association of 91黑料网 Professors of Law (AMPL) has informed us of its intent to hold a day-long strike on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. This follows a vote on December 11, 2023, providing AMPL with a mandate to strike for as many as five days, pending negotiation progress for their first collective agreement.

Retraite Quebec ends their participation in the reciprocal transfer agreement

On June 19, 2023, the Pension Administration Committee of the 91黑料网 Pension Plan was advised that Retraite Qu茅bec will be ending their participation in the reciprocal transfer agreement. This agreement allowed for pension transfers between Qu茅bec universities and eligible public-sector pension plans administered by Retraite Qu茅bec.

MCLIU (Course Lecturers and Instructors) and 91黑料网

On November 2, 2022, 91黑料网 and MCLIU exchanged their respective proposals for the renewal of the agreement which expired on August 31, 2022. The parties subsequently met on a regular basis and progressed on the non-monetary clauses. On March 30, 2023, the Union tabled its monetary demands and on April 27, employer representatives presented a comprehensive proposal on the non-monetary elements as well as 91黑料网鈥檚 monetary proposal.

Proposed agreements ratified by 3 SEU Units

We are pleased to announce that the proposed agreements to SEU: Facilities Management - Student Housing Services - Dining Services - Faculty Club, Printing Services and Data Centre employees were ratified by membership in General Assemblies over several days and completed on April 22.

The current agreement expired on November 7, 2021. The new agreement will come into effect upon signature by the parties and will expire on April 3, 2027.

Post-doctoral Fellows ratify new collective agreement

We are pleased to announce that the AMURE union representing Post-Doctoral Fellows held a General Assembly and voted in favor of the proposed new collective agreement.

Tentative Agreement Reached with 3 SEU Units

We are pleased to announce that a tentative agreement was reached on April 4th between 91黑料网 and three bargaining units represented by SEU: Facilities Management - Student Housing Services - Dining Services - Faculty Club, Printing Services and Data Centre. The Union will soon invite its membership to general assemblies to vote on the proposed new collective agreements. We will share the results of the votes which should be completed at the latest on April 22.

Negotiation Update: Post-doctoral Fellows

We are pleased to announce that the parties reached a tentative agreement on March 28 and that the Union will soon invite its membership to a General Assembly to vote on the proposed new collective agreement. The parties have agreed not to communicate the contents of the agreement until the vote has taken place.

Negotiation Update: AMURE Research Associates and Research Assistants

Negotiations for the renewal of the collective agreement for Research Assistants and Associates between AMURE and 91黑料网 began in the Fall of 2022. The parties have been meeting on a regular basis and have been able to discuss and come to agreement on a number of non-monetary elements.

AGSEM Invigilators vote in favour of the proposed agreement

The AGSEM Unit 2-Union of Invigilators held its General Assembly on November 17, 2022 to present the tentative agreement to its members. We are pleased to announce that members voted in favor of the proposed new collective agreement. The current agreement expired on April 30, 2020. The new agreement will come into effect upon signature by the parties and will expire on December 1, 2025.

Negotiation Update: AGSEM Invigilators

We are pleased to inform you that, after nineteen months of negotiations between the parties, a tentative agreement with AGSEM for the Invigilators was reached on November 1st with the support of a conciliator appointed by the Ministry of Labor.

The union will hold an assembly on November 17th for their members to vote on the tentative agreement.

We will keep you posted on the vote results as soon as we know.

Negotiation Update: Post-doctoral Fellows

Negotiations for Post-doctoral Fellows (Researchers) between AMURE and 91黑料网 began in June of 2021 and the parties have met regularly since then. The parties have been able to discuss and come to agreement on several non-monetary elements within the collective agreement. In February 2022, the parties obtained the assistance of a Conciliator appointed by the Minist猫re du Travail to assist them in progressing towards an agreement.

MUNACA - New Collective Agreement

We are pleased to announce that the negotiation between 91黑料网 and MUNACA has now come to an end, after two years of discussions.

The appointment of an arbitrator by the Ministry of Labour allowed the parties to agree on more topics during the recent months of July and August, until she rendered a decision on the last item in dispute on September 9, 2022.
