We invite you to join us for an Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Workshop focused on Relationship to Land and Territory, part II. This interactive session will be facilitated by Indigenous faculty members Alex McComber and Richard Budgell, along with PhD student Megan Légaré.

This workshop will offer a reflective, discussion-based space to explore our individual and collective relationships to land and territory, fostering thoughtful dialogue, shared learning, and deeper understanding.

A light lunch will be provided.

About The SpeakersÌý

Alex McComber, Bear Clan Kanien’keha:ka from Kahnawake Territory, is a husband, father, grandfather, educator, training facilitator, and consultant working in Indigenous health and education. He is a long-standing associate with the Kahnawake Schools Diabetes Prevention Program.

Richard Budgell, Labrador Inuk, developed the first Canadian graduate course on Inuit health. With over 30 years of public service in Indigenous health, he was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal and now focuses on projects such as Inuit cultural safety and urban Inuit health.

Megan LégaréÌýis a second year PhD student in the Family Medicine and Primary Care Program of Kanien’keha:ka and European settler heritage. She is passionate about Indigenous youth cultural continuity and engagement research.
