The 91ºÚÁÏÍø Energy Forum is one of Canada’s premier gatherings of experts, industry leaders, and policymakers focused on the future of energy, industry, and climate.

The one-day Forum brings together leading voices to explore the cutting edge of how firms, governments, and researchers are navigating the next phase of the energy transition.

Workshop - Energy Analysis, Pathways to Commercialization and Energy Democracy

PANEL 1: Canada's Energy Transition in Context

The energy transition is unfolding at the intersection of nation-building, environmental sustainability, economic realities, and regional complexities. This panel brings together voices from academia, policy, and systems-level analysis to examine the broader forces and contexts shaping the energy transition across Canada with a focus on structural challenges and opportunities.  

Featuring leaders from 91ºÚÁÏÍø, and the Transition Accelerator, the discussion will explore how federal and provincial policies, infrastructure constraints, market structures, and global pressures interact to define Canada’s energy transition pathways forward. Panelists will offer systems-level perspectives on the factors enabling or inhibiting forward progress.

PANEL 2: Navigating the Energy Transition

Rapidly changing policies, geopolitical dynamics, and emerging market opportunities are reshaping decision-making within organizations and governments alike.ÌýÌýThis panel brings together leaders from engineering and investment firms alongside an academic expert to examine the trade-offs, strategic pivots, and execution challenges shaping the energy transition in practice.

The discussion will explore how investment firms are allocating capital in energy infrastructure amid evolving policy and geopolitical landscapes; how engineering firms are executing large-scale projects through global partnerships and technical innovation; and how research on industrial ecology is translating into practical recommendations that help governments and organizations seize the opportunities of a low-carbon energy future.
