While accessing information please ensure you adhere to the Policy on the Responsible Use of 91ºÚÁÏÍø Information Technology Resources, available on the Secretariat’s website.

Prior to accessing data, you must:

  • Ensure your workstation is up-to-date with security patches (i.e. running Windows Update), and
  • Ensure you have antivirus software installed and virus signatures are up to date.

.

Step 1: VPN

In order to access your files (outside the University), you must setup VPN (Virtual Private Network).

Go to the IT Knowledge Base article on Virtual Private Network (VPN), select your operating system and follow the setup instructions. Frequently asked questions and best practices are also available.

You will require administrative privileges on your workstation to setup VPN.

If you encounter problems setting up your VPN connection, please contact 91ºÚÁÏÍø Central IT Service Desk.

After you have setup and established a connection with VPN, you are ready to access your files.

Do not save your username and password if you are sharing the computer.
