MATL Program: Full-time vs. Part-time progression

The full-time option is designed for students who wish to move through the program in a more intensive and accelerated format. Coursework and field-based components are integrated within the same academic year, allowing students to engage in foundational learning while simultaneously applying it in practice through the internship and professional seminar. This structure supports a connection between theory and practice, making it well suited to students who are ready to enter the field quickly and who are comfortable managing a more concentrated workload.

The part-time option is designed for students who prefer a more gradual progression through the program. It allows students to focus on foundational coursework in the first year, building a strong base in curriculum and pedagogy before entering the more practical components of the program. The internship and professional seminar are then completed in the second year, once students feel more prepared and confident. This pathway is well suited to those who want additional time to develop their skills and deepen their understanding before fully engaging in field-based practice.
