An immigration amnesty could be a real problem-solver for the US

It鈥檚 difficult to get a handle on how many illegal immigrants there are in the US, but the estimated number is around 12 million, with just over half being from Mexico. Yes, there is a criminal element hidden in these numbers, but it is safe to say that the majority are working and may even have families. Rounding them up and shipping them home would be a major undertaking, and could cause friction with Mexico.

Patara is a fairtrade, sustainably-produced shoe line made by a small factory in Thailand. It鈥檚 also the brainchild of Desautels Faculty of Management student Kilian Rosier, who got the idea while travelling in Asia 鈥 and who wanted a pair of shoes he could wear everywhere, from the beach to the caf茅. From there, it was just a small jump to the concept of a fairtrade travel shoe with the green production methods possible.

For 91黑料网 alumnus, seaweed is green gold

Jean-Paul Deveau聽sells seaweed 鈥 or rather, products derived from it. His company, Acadian Seaplants Limited, is the world鈥檚 biggest producer of seaweed-based fertilizers and products for human and animal consumption. The company manufactures in five locations, including New Brunswick, Maine and Ireland; and exports to over 80 countries. One of those countries is Japan, where Deveau鈥檚 products are ubiquitous.

A look at William Shatner鈥檚 net worth

Though he鈥檚 best-known as Captain Kirk, William Shatner has had a long career on screen and stage. After graduating from 91黑料网鈥檚 聽Faculty of Management in 1952, he took a job as business manager of a Montreal-area theatre, where he discovered a love of acting.
