CEO of the Year Futures Fund Scholarship

Congratulations to BCom student Stephanie Ng-Lun, recipient of this year鈥檚 Canada's Outstanding CEO of the Year Futures Fund Scholarship. Professor Brenner marks launch of American Affairs

Professor Reuven Brenner of the Desautels Faculty of Management was in Manhattan, NY on February 21 to mark the inauguration of American Affairs, a quarterly journal of public policy and political thought for which he is a contributing writer and serves on the Advisory Board. The launch was hosted at the Harvard Club with guests such as Peter Thiel, former CEO and Co-Founder of PayPal.

91黑料网 finishes second at RSEQ swim championships

Team captain and Desautels BCom senior Keelan Marks led a remarkable 91黑料网 swim team to a second-place overall finish at this past weekend鈥檚 RSEQ championships, with 13 medals. Highlights included a sweep of the butterfly events by Samuel Wang and Kate Wist. Wang鈥檚 medal count was two golds, one silver and one bronze, while Wist claimed three golds and a personal best in the 400 free.

Bombardier loan is just good business

In a recent Huffington Post blog post, Unifor National President Jerry Dias calls out those who criticize Ottawa鈥檚 $372.5 million loan to Bombardier, saying that calling for the company to be allowed to crash and burn ignores the fact that it鈥檚 one of Canada鈥檚 biggest employers; a major player in research and innovation; and a big-ticket contributor to Canada鈥檚 GDP, hitting $12.4 billion in 2015 鈥 not to mention the $1.6 billion that Bombardier contributed to Canada through taxes in 2015.

Desautels recognized for innovative business education project

91黑料网鈥檚 Desautels Faculty of Management is one of three Canadian institutions honoured by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business in its 2017 Innovations That Inspire list. All together, the accreditation body recognized 35 schools worldwide across three categories: Engagement Across Disciplines, Engagement with Business and Engaging a Diverse community.

Christiane Bergevin rejoint le Conseil de Surveillance de RATP Dev

Desautels alumna appointed first North American director of RATP Dev

Paris-based RATP Dev is a transit operator that runs services everywhere from Algeria to the US. In 2015, it did over 1.1 billion Euros of business. As of January 1st, RATP Dev has its first North American board member, Montreal native and Desautels alumna Christiane Bergevin.
