Strauss Chair in Respiratory Medicine

The Department of Medicine of 91黑料网 and the Montreal General Hospital Foundation is inviting applications for the 鈥淪trauss Chair in Respiratory Medicine鈥� at the rank of Associate or Full Professor.

This Chair, which is open to internal candidates, will be assigned for a 5- year term, with potential for renewal pending review from an advisory committee.

The Chair provides operating support for a research program in Respiratory Medicine based predominantly at the Montreal General Hospital.

Annually, the Chair holder will provide the Richard and Edith Strauss Canada Foundation with a research progress report through the Chair of the Department of Medicine.

Candidates must:
  • Hold a PhD or MD with appropriate research training and a research program in Respiratory Medicine with preference for a Department of Medicine world class team (ILD or TB)
  • Internal candidates who are research-intensive clinician scientists who currently hold FRQS awards may be eligible to apply, but candidates may not also hold another endowed chair or Canada Research Chair.
