Cindy is Gitxsan and is honoured to serve as the Executive Director of the First Nations Child and Family Caring Society and as a professor at 91黑料网鈥檚 School of Social Work. A recipient of the 2023 World Children鈥檚 Prize, she has over 40 years of experience working in child and family services and Indigenous children鈥檚 rights. A recipient of the 2023 World Children鈥檚 Prize voted on by millions of children around the world; Cindy works with First Nations Leadership, colleagues, children, and other allies听on a landmark human rights challenge to Canada鈥檚 inequitable provision of child and family services and failure to implement Jordan鈥檚 Principle. This hard-fought litigation has resulted in hundreds of thousands of services being provided to First Nations children, youth, and families.
