As a result of the water infiltration and recovery efforts related to McIntyre Medical Building听fire incident听in July, the Osler Library continues to be closed until further notice. The Osler recovery team has been focusing their efforts on restoring materials and making holdings from the Osler Library of the History of Medicine collection accessible to users.听

As a result of the water infiltration and recovery efforts related to McIntyre Medical Building fire incident in July, the Osler Library continues to be closed until further notice. The Osler recovery team has been focusing their efforts on securing the contents of the Osler Library of the History of Medicine. All books, rare books, art, and artefacts from the Osler have been wrapped, packed, and removed so that a complete inspection of the Osler section of the building can begin.听
Please note that on听Friday, July 20 from 7am to 3pm, the terrace facing lower field along the Redpath Library Building will be inaccessible due to tree removal.听
The terrace will be closed from the north end (Redpath Museum) to the terrace garden.听
Access to lower campus and the McLennan Library Building continues to be听accessible from McTavish Street. Two security agents will be on site to听redirect pedestrian traffic on McTavish street.听

Early Friday night, July 13, firefighters were called to the McIntyre Medical Building to put out a fire on the听outdoor terrace. The evacuation procedure went smoothly and no injuries were reported. Please note that the Humanities & Social Sciences Library will also be closed on Sunday, July 1 at 6PM due to a major electrical transformer upgrade.听

The Schulich Library of Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, and Engineering will be closed to all from Friday, March 2, 2018, 18:00 to Tuesday, March 6, 2018, 9:00. 听After-hours access at Schulich will also be disabled.听
Update, June 21: Repairs have been completed and the McLennan doors are now open again. Please use the main entrance of McLennan to enter the Humanities and Social Sciences Library. (Please note: the temporary access via the Redpath doors is no longer available and the alarm will sound if the emergency exits there are opened.)
The two heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in the Education Building will be replaced this summer. As a result of this renovation work, the Education Curriculum Resources Centre will听temporarily close from Saturday, August听5 to Sunday, August 27.听During this time, the collection will be unavailable. The last day to submit hold requests will be Wednesday, July 19.
