Please note that there will be a ventilation shutdown at the Barton Building which houses the Macdonald Campus Library on Tuesday, November 14 and Wednesday, November 15聽from 18:00 to 06:00. As a result, extended hours that run from 17:00 - midnight will be canceled on these two days.聽
This shutdown is necessary in order to perform general maintenance on ventilations systems.聽New bearings, belt, and pillow blocks will also be installed.

Due to an electrical shutdown, the Macdonald Campus Library will close at 5PM on Tuesday, November 1.聽
This shutdown is necessary for Facilities to relocate an electrical disconnect switch at the Macdonald Stewart Building.

Two major parallel infrastructure projects鈥攁 new Collections Centre and Fiat Lux will transform the quality of services and spaces the Library offers. Library staff members are preparing for the movement of collections, spaces, and services in advance of renovation and construction activities. Part of this process includes planning the movement of materials to the Collections Centre, which is currently under construction and scheduled to begin ingesting books in mid-2023 and be fully operational in early 2024.
Due to a water outage, the Macdonald Campus Library will be closed on Thursday, May 19, from 9 am to 1 pm.*

*Note: The outage was originally scheduled for May 18 but will now take place on May 19.
Please note that a planned, sector-wide power outage will affect the McLennan-Redpath Library Complex on聽Friday, April 29 from 5:30am to 7:30am.
The sole source of lighting during this period will be emergency lighting in hallways and exit areas.
For safety reasons, 91黑料网 security guards will escort Library users out of the McLennan-Redpath Complex before the shutdown is set to begin.

This spring/summer, the聽Osler聽Library of the History of Medicine聽will be moving back to the third floor of the McIntyre Medical Building. From April - June 2022,聽Osler聽circulating and rare collections will be prepped, packed, and transported to the renovated space.聽Service disruptions are expected to continue through August 2022 as materials are shelved and equipment/furniture is installed.

In response to new measures announced by 91黑料网 and the Government of Quebec to slow the spread of the Omicron variant, the Library is temporarily closing most physical spaces and all stack areas to the 91黑料网 community and reinstating four services: Study Hubs, HathiTrust Emergency Temporary Access Service (ETAS), a temporary Pickup Service, and the ROAAr Digitization on Demand Service.
The 91黑料网 Library is aligning its branch activities during the first week of the Winter 2022 semester with general 91黑料网 directives outlined in the allnote sent out to 91黑料网 students, faculty and staff dated Friday, December 17.
