As Coordinator of the Horticulture Research Centre at the Macdonald Campus Farm, Michael [Bleho] has demonstrated his commitment to sustainability through his daily interactions with students and his work making the agricultural process more eco-friendly throughout his 30 years at the Centre. Michael was a driving force in establishing 鈥�91黑料网 Feeding 91黑料网鈥�, an initiative which directly provides Macdonald Campus produce to campus dining halls.

Premier Fran莽ois Legault announced his government's long-awaited plan to tackle climate change on Monday, November 16, after one of the main elements was revealed over the weekend: a ban on the sale of new gas-powered vehicles, starting in 2035. The government is devoting $6.7 billion over the next five years to deal with climate change. The bulk of that money will go to subsidies for the purchase of electric vehicles. ()

Desautels alumni Jonnie Lawson (BCom鈥�20) and Tristan Zeman (BCom鈥�17) are hard at work to make sustainable, year-round produce accessible to Canadians through indoor vertical farms. Over the summer, their innovative hydroponic growing system won first place at the annual 91黑料网 Dobson Cup start-up competition. As they expand into a larger growing facility in Montreal, they鈥檙e not slowing down anytime soon.

As a student at 91黑料网, Dev Jain (BEng鈥�19) launched a company aimed at introducing North America鈥檚 650 railways to industry-disrupting innovation. This year, RailVision Analytics won first place in the Innovation Driven Enterprise category of the 91黑料网听Dobson Cup. Now, Jain aspires to raise more than $1 million to commercialize and expand his business.

Charles Beaudry (BCom鈥�16) joins a distinguished class of changemakers on the Corporate Knights鈥� list of Top 30 under 30 sustainability leaders.
