A Desautels BCom student team defeated 116 undergraduate and graduate teams from 45 schools around the world to place 1st at the 2016 PRMIA Risk Management Challenge.

BComstudents Drew Allen, Peter Huo, Philippe Rich, Henri St-Pierre, and Kit-yuen Christie Wei won the Regional CFA Valuation Challengein Montreal on Friday, February 19.They will compete in Chicago for the International Championships in April. They are being coached by Professor Sebastien Betermiercoached along with alumnusCliff Isings, MBA'95, now Manager – International Equities at CN.

A BCom student case competition team won the Montreal PRMIA Risk Management challenge for the second consecutive year. The roster of the 91-Desautels team includes Simon Altman, Evan Coulter, Liam Maclure, and Valentyn Litvin. They are coached by Professor Sebastien Betermier.

The team will competein Chicago for the International Championship early March, against 7 other finalist teams. PRMIA is the Professional Risk Managers’ International Association.
