The potential for office work to be performed remotely has been evident since the advent of email and the web, but for decades, most employers allowed only very limited remote work. Cryptocurrencies are an unregulated, ethically dubious financial instrument used by criminal organizations, terrorists and war criminals, writes Andy Holloway in the FP Investor Newsletter. But central bank digital currencies (CBDC) are the right side of regulation. 鈥淎 CBDC that offers maximal privacy of individuals' spending and is a legal tender would be a more compelling alternative to cryptocurrencies as a pure digital means of payments and money,鈥� says Katrin Tinn, Assistant Professor of Finance at Desautels.

A few weeks after starting his MBA at 91黑料网, Mohammed Ashour, MSc鈥�11, MBA鈥�19 received an email announcing the Hult Prize 鈥� an annual, year-long competition that challenges university-level students to solve a pressing social issue. One of the biggest names in tech thinks the move to fully remote work is a big mistake. According to Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, everyone needs to be together to create a cohesive and productive work environment. And that鈥檚 partly right, says Jean-Nicolas Reyt, an Associate Professor of Organizational Behaviour at Desautels. 鈥淭he vast majority of the economy has switched to hybrid work, and not fully remote,鈥� says Reyt. 鈥淭his allows people to better manage the interface between their work and personal lives.

The Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians (CAEP) has honoured two graduates from 91黑料网鈥檚 International Masters for Health Leadership (IMHL) program. Dr. Judy Morris, graduating this spring, was named Emergency Physician of the Year, while Dr. Fran莽ois de Champlain (IMHL'21) received the Special Merit Award, recognizing him as as a leader in making Canadian Emergency Medicine what it is today.
