Research Associates

Academic Associate - Assistant Director

The Paul-André Crépeau Center for Private and Comparative Law is looking for a candidate to fill a full-time or part time position of Research-Assistant within its team. The Research Assistant will be able to participate in all of the Crépeau Center's activities, thus contributing to the influence and development of the Quebec civil law tradition.

The Research Assistant will perform various tasks such as :
- Research in private and comparative law;
- Research and writing for the Private Law Dictionary and Bilingual Lexicons - Persons project;
- Editing, revision and translation work;
- Assistance in the organization of scientific events.

The work will be carried out in person, at the Paul-André Crépeau Center for Private and Comparative Law.

Candidates should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's and Master's degrees in law;
- Strong interest in private law, particularly personal law;
- Interest in legal research and drafting;
- Proficient in French and English;
- Autonomy, intellectual curiosity, attention to detail and rigor;
- Member of the Chambre des notaires du Québec (an asset).

If you are passionate about legal research, organized, and meticulous, with a very good command of French and English, this position is for you. Membership of the Chambre des notaires is an asset. Visiting Scholars

Each year the Paul-André Crépeau Centre hosts researchers who wish to deepen their knowledge of private and comparative law as part of their sabbaticals, doctoral projects, etc.

Visiting scholars stay for a maximum ofÌý12 months.
