Seminars

We host seminar presentations where Canadian and international experts are given the opportunity to present their cutting-edge research. Requests to present a seminar should be directed to our seminar coordinators.

Unless specified otherwise, the seminars are held Fridays from 1-2PM, in-person in CURRIE 409 and/or virtually via Zoom. ()

Please note: CURRIE 409 is located atÌý, 91ºÚÁÏÍø ID required for entry.

To receive seminar news via email send an email to LISTSERV [at] LISTS.MCGILL.CA containing, in the body of the email, the message:

SUBSCRIBE BBME-SEMINAR-NOTICE Your_First_Name Your_Last_Name

Example: John Smith would subscribe by having the following as the message body: SUBSCRIBE BBME-SEMINAR-NOTICE John Smith

You will be able to unsubscribe from the list.

AV Information for Presenters

AV Connection

Video connection: HDMI (HDCP capabilities not supported)

Network Connectivity

Ethernet connection is preferred for Zoom presentations.

Projecting Content

  1. Ensure your laptop is turned off.
  2. Connect the AV cable to your laptop.
  3. (Optionally) Connect the network cable to your laptop.
  4. Press the Presentation Mode button on the AV controller.
  5. Press the LaptopÌýbutton on each AV control panel.
  6. Wait a minute for the projectors to warm up.
  7. Turn on your laptop and configure it to present your content.

After the Presentation

Disconnect your laptop. Leave everything else as is.

Getting Help

Use the classroom telephone and press theÌýAV systems supportÌýbutton on the screen after removing the receiver from the base.
