91ºÚÁÏÍøÌýis pleased to announce the launch ofÌýHorizon Scholars, a fully funded year-long academic enrichment and campus exposure program for µþ±ô²¹³¦°ìÌý°äɳҷ¡±ÊÌý²õ³Ù³Ü»å±ð²Ô³Ù²õ across the city of Montreal.Ìý

This program supports students as they explore university pathways, strengthen their academic skills, and prepare competitive applications to 91ºÚÁÏ꿉۪s world-class programs. Horizon Scholars also helps participants build the confidence and connections needed to thrive academically, personally, and professionally.

Campus Experience
Take part in interactive workshops on 91ºÚÁÏ꿉۪s downtown campus and get a real sense of university life.

Application Support
Learn about admission requirements, explore your academic interests, and develop strong university applications.

Entrance Scholarship
Students admitted to 91ºÚÁÏÍø through the program will receive a $2,000 entrance award.

Academic Networking
Connect with 91ºÚÁÏÍø professors, staff, and students, and discover a wide range of academic fields and research areas.

Personalized Mentorship
Receive one-on-one guidance and mentorship from members of the Black 91ºÚÁÏÍø community.

Summer Experience
Participate in a dynamic summer program tailored to your cohort’s academic, creative, and professional interests.

Be currently enrolled in a CÉGEP in the Montreal area.

Demonstrate involvement in community-based activities or initiatives.

What We Are Looking For

No single profile defines the ideal Horizon Scholar. We are selecting 20 participants who collectively represent:

  • A range of disciplinary interests (Sciences, Arts & Humanities, Social Sciences, Health, Business, Law, Education, etc.).
  • Varied academic journeys and CÉGEP programs.
  • Multiple forms of community involvement and leadership.
  • Different relationships to Black identity, culture, and community.
  • A mix of personality types: introverts, extroverts, quiet and vocal leaders.
  • Students at different points in their sense of direction: some still exploring, some with clear goals.
