DESCRIPTION:The purpose of the FRQSC Research Support for New Academics pro
 gram is to enable new research academics who are beginning their careers t
 o complete an individual research project and develop original research av
 enues\; to establish themselves as independent researchers\, become compet
 itive nationally and internationally\, and train the next generation of st
 udents\; and to consolidate the research system by supporting up-and-comin
 g research academics in social sciences and humanities\, arts and literatu
 re fields.\n\nEmerging researchers in social sciences and humanities\, art
 s and literature\, who are planning to apply to the Fall 2026 FRQSC Resear
 ch Support for New Academics competition are encouraged to attend this inf
 ormation session\, which will include:\n\n\n	An introductory presentation a
 bout the program objectives and application requirements by Elie Sawaya\, 
 Grants and Agreements Officer\, Office of Sponsored Research\;\n\n\n\n	A pr
 esentation on tips and best practices for preparing a successful applicati
 on by Professor Jérémy Boulanger-Bonnelly\, Faculty of Law\;\n\n\n\n	A ques
 tion and answer period where participants will be encouraged to raise any 
 questions they may have about the program and the application process.\n		 
 \n\n\nThose who are unable to attend or who wish to provide their question
 s in advance are invited to send their inquiries to elie.sawaya [at] mcgil
 l.ca (Elie Sawaya) so that they may be covered during the session.\n\nYou
