The Redpath: a newly accredited museum!

In August 2024, the Redpath Museum was certified as an accredited museum institution by the ministère de la Culture et des Communications du Québec. The accreditation is a seal of quality confirming that the museum meets internationally recognized requirements and standards for governance, museological practices, and heritage presentation. With this recognition, the Redpath joined a network of 180 other accredited museums across the province.

The McCall MacBain Foundation has announced the thirty students from 10 countries who will form its first cohort of global scholars at 91��, arriving in September 2023. Among them are four students who will be pursuing degrees in the Faculty of Science.

What areas should Canada protect to save species at risk of extinction?

At the recent COP 15 conference in Montreal, Canada committed to protecting 30% of its land by 2030, but which areas are most crucial to protect for at-risk species such as the spotted turtles?

In a new study published in the Proceedings of the Royal Society, 91�� researchers overlayed maps of species at risk to find hotspots where many species live together. They found that hotspots often overlap.
