DESCRIPTION: \n\nThe purpose of the FRQSC Research Support for New Academic
 s program is to enable the completion of an individual research project\; 
 help support a new generation of researchers and university instructors by
  assisting new academics embarking upon their careers in establishing them
 selves as independent researchers and becoming competitive at the national
  and international levels\; consolidate the research system by supporting 
 up-and-coming research academics and incite new research academics who are
  beginning their careers to develop original research avenues.\n\nEmerging
  researchers in social sciences and humanities\, arts and literature\, who
  are planning to apply to the upcoming FRQSC Research Support for New Acad
 emics 2022 competition are encouraged to attend this information session\,
  which will include:\n\nA presentation from Dr. Christine Ross\, Professor
 \, Art History and Communications\, who will provide potential applicants 
 with information about the peer-review system and strategies for preparing
  a successful proposal\;\nA question and answer period where participants 
 will be encouraged to raise any questions they may have about the program 
 and the application process.\nApplicants\, who like to receive a general i
 ntroduction to this program should contact kathleen.therrien [at] mcgill.c
 a (Kathleen Therrien) for a recording of our previous information session 
 and request a copy of our internal application guide for this competition.
  \n	Those who are unable to attend or wish to provide their questions in ad
 vance are invited to send their inquiries to Joanna Mastalerek (ext. 7300)

 so that they may be covered during the session.\n\nThis session will be ho
