DESCRIPTION:The purpose of this program is to foster a new generation of re
 searchers within the university research and teaching community by assisti
 ng new researchers who have just launched their academic career to become 
 established as independent researchers and become competitive nationally a
 nd internationally. The program also seeks to strengthen the research syst
 em by encouraging new researchers to develop original avenues of research.
 \n	Researchers with projects in the natural sciences\, mathematical science
 s and engineering who are planning to apply to the upcoming FRQNT Research
  Support for New Academics competition (2021-2022) are encouraged to atten
 d this information session\, which will include:\n\nA presentation about t
 he objectives and application requirements of the FRQNT Research Support f
 or New Academics Grants by Alison Glaser\, Senior Grants and Agreements Of
 ficer\, and Biljana Vasilevska\, Grants and Agreements Officer OSR\;\n	A pr
 esentation on tips and best practices for preparing a successful FRQNT app
 lication by Prof. Jean-Francois Trempe (Department of Pharmacology and The
 rapeutics).\n	A question and answer period where participants will be encou
 raged to raise any questions they may have about the program or the applic
 ation process.\nThose who are unable to attend or who wish to provide thei
 r questions in advance are invited to send their inquiries to alison.glase
