DESCRIPTION:The purpose of the SSHRC Insight Grant Program is to provide su
 pport for long-term research initiatives of 2 to 5 years for emerging and 
 established scholars in the social sciences and humanities.\n\nResearchers
  in social sciences and humanities\, arts and literature who are planning 
 to apply to the upcoming SSHRC Insight Grant fall 2017 competition are enc
 ouraged to attend this information session\, which will include:\n\nA brie
 f presentation about the objectives and application requirements of the SS
 HRC Insight Grant Program by  Maureen Donato and Joanna Mastalerek\, Grant
 s Officers\, Social Sciences and Humanities Team\;\n	A presentation from Pr
 of. Sarah Turner (Department of Geography) who has served on adjudication 
 committees\, and will provide potential applicants with information about 
 the peer-review system and strategies for preparing a successful proposal\
 ;\n	A question and answer period where participants will be encouraged to r
 aise any questions they may have about the program or the application proc
 ess. \n		Those who are unable to attend or who may not feel comfortable shar
