 ovide support for long-term research initiatives of 2 to 5 years for emerg
 ing and established scholars in the social sciences and humanities.\n\nRes
 earchers in social sciences and humanities\, arts and literature who are p
 lanning to apply to the upcoming SSHRC Insight Grant fall 2018 competition
  are encouraged to attend this information session\, which will include:\n
 \nBrief presentation about the objectives and application requirements of 
 the SSHRC Insight Grant Program by  Maureen Donato and Joanna Mastalerek\,
  Grants Officers\, Social Sciences and Humanities\;\n	Presentations from Pr
 of. Sarah Turner (Department of Geography) and Prof. Joan Bartlett (School
  of Information Studies) who have served on adjudication committees and wi
 ll provide potential applicants with information about the peer-review sys
 tem and strategies for preparing a successful proposal\;\n	A question and a
 nswer period where participants will be encouraged to raise any questions 
 they may have about the program or the application process. \n		Those who ar
 e unable to attend or who may not feel comfortable sharing their questions
