DESCRIPTION:The purpose of the SSHRC Insight Grant Program is to provide su
 pport for long-term research initiatives of 2 to 5 years for emerging and 
 established scholars in the social sciences and humanities.\n\nResearchers
  in social sciences and humanities\, arts and literature who are planning 
 to apply to the upcoming SSHRC Insight Grant fall 2017 competition are enc
 ouraged to attend this information session\, which will include:\n\nBrief 
 presentation about the objectives and application requirements of the SSHR
 C Insight Grant Program by  Maureen Donato and Joanna Mastalerek\, Grants 
 Officers\, Social Sciences and Humanities\;\n	Presentations from Prof. Marg
 aret Kalacska (Department of Geography) and Prof. Nico Trocmé (School of S
 ocial Work) who have served on adjudication committees and will provide po
 tential applicants with information about the peer-review system and strat
 egies for preparing a successful proposal\;\n	A question and answer period 
 where participants will be encouraged to raise any questions they may have
  about the program or the application process. \nThose who are unable to a
 ttend or who may not feel comfortable sharing their questions are invited
