 rogram is to assist researchers who have just launched their careers to be
 come established as independent researchers\, and also more competitive na
 tionally and internationally.\n\n \n\nNew researchers in social sciences a
 nd humanities\, arts and literature who are planning to apply to the upcom
 ing FRQSC fall 2016 competition are encouraged to attend this information 
 session\, which will include:\n\n \n\n• A brief presentation about the obj
 ectives and application requirements of the Research Support for New Acade
 mics program by Joanna Mastalerek\, Grants Officer\, Social Sciences and H
 umanities\;\n\n \n\n• presentations from Prof. Lisa Overholtzer (Departmen
 t of Anthropology) and Prof. Pierre-Emmanuel Moyse (Faculty of Law)\, who 
 will share their experiences as grant awardees and reviewers under this pr
 ogram and strategies for creating a successful proposal\;\n\n \n\n• a ques
 tion and answer period where participants will be encouraged to raise any 
 questions they may have about the program or the application process. Thos
