 n session on the upcoming SSHRC Insight Development Grants competition.\n
 \nThe information session will include:\n\n聽\n\n路聽聽聽聽聽聽 a brief presentati
 on about the requirements of the Insight Development Grants (IDG) by the O
 ffice of Sponsored Research\;\n\n路聽聽聽聽聽聽 presentations by聽two 91黑料网 resea
 rchers with experience as committee members in the IDG competition\, who w
 ill provide applicants with insider information about the peer-review syst
 em and strategies for preparing a successful proposal:\n\n脴聽 Prof. Judith 
 Szapor\, Department of History and Classical Studies\n\n脴聽 Prof. Benjamin 
 Forest\, Department of Geography\n\n路聽聽聽聽聽聽 a question and answer period.聽
 \n\n聽\n\nPlease RSVP online聽by Monday\, November 9\, 2015 at 5:00 P.M.\n\n
 聽\n\nBackground:\n\nInsight Development Grants support research in its ini
 tial stages for up to two years (with an automatic extension period for on
 e year) for emerging and established scholars in the social sciences and h
 umanities. The grants enable the development of new research questions\, a
 s well as experimentation with new methods\, theoretical approaches and/or
  ideas. The maximum value of an Insight Development Grant is $75\,000. For
  the current competition\, at least 50% of funds will be reserved for appl
 ications from emerging scholars.\n\n聽\n\nResearchers may not apply\,聽as ap
 plicant\, for an Insight Development Grant and an Insight Grant within the
  same calendar year\, whether successful in the competition or not. Howeve
 r\, a researcher who applied for an Insight Grant in October 2015 may appl
 y for an Insight Development Grant in February 2016\, provided that the ob
 jectives of the research are different.\n\n聽\n\nPlease note that the appli
 cation form for the current competition is not yet available\, but will be
