 ll be holding a 1-hour Information Session to provide an update on what is
  new at NSERC\, the latest competition results from the 2015 Discovery Gra
 nts Program\, as well as an overview of the Discovery Grant process includ
 ing tips on “Writing a Successful Discovery Grant”.  Questions and answers
  will be welcome throughout. You are encouraged to attend this outreach se

 iscovery Grants Program assists in:\n				promoting and maintaining a diversifi
 ed base of high-quality research capability in the natural sciences and en
 gineering in Canadian universities\;\n					fostering research excellence\; and
 \n					providing a stimulating environment for research training.\n				The Discover
 y Grants Program supports ongoing programs of research (with long-term goa
 ls) rather than a single short-term project or collection of projects. The
 se grants recognize the creativity and innovation that are at the heart of
  all research advances\, whether made individually or in teams. Researcher
 s are free to work in the mode most appropriate for the research area.\n				Re
 cipients of Discovery Grants are not restricted to the specific activities
  described in the application\, but may pursue new research interests\, pr
