DESCRIPTION:The Office of Sponsored Research is pleased to invite 91ºÚÁÏÍø re
 searchers and administrators to a SSHRC Insight Grants Information Session
  in preparation for the upcoming competition:\nDate: Tuesday\, June 2nd\, 
 2015\n	Time: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.\n	Location: James Administration Build
 ing\, Room 301\nThis workshop will include:\n• a brief presentation about 
 the objectives and requirements of the Insight Grants program from Grants 
 Officer Lauren Clark\;\n	• presentations from two 91ºÚÁÏÍø researchers who se
 rved as Insight Grant selection committee members in the last competition.
  The following speakers will provide potential applicants with information
  about the peer-review system and/or strategies for preparing a successful
  proposal:\n        o Prof. Shaheen Shariff\, Department of Integrated Stu
 dies in Education\n	        o Prof. Griet Vankeerberghen\, Department of Hi
 story and Classical Studies\n• a question and answer period where particip
 ants will be encouraged to raise any questions they may have about the pro
 gram or the application process. Those who are unable to attend or who may
  not feel comfortable sharing their questions are invited to send their in
 quiries to Lauren Clark in advance so that they may be included in the ses

 ease note that\, as indicated in SSHRC’s regulations governing multiple ap
 plications\, researchers who have applied to Insight Development Grants in
  2015 are not eligible to apply to Insight Grants in 2015\, whether succes
 sful in the Insight Development Grant competition or not. However\, resear
 chers are allowed to hold an Insight Grant and an Insight Development Gran
 t at the same time\, provided the research objectives of each are differen
 t.\nPlease also note that this workshop may be cancelled if attendance is 
 not sufficient.\n
