DESCRIPTION:International Young Scientists Mentorship Program (IYSMP) is la
 unching a free networking event for CÉGEP students coined Synapse Connect\
 , which will take place on Friday\, May 4th from 6-8PM at Notman House. Du
 ring this evening\, approximately 50 CÉGEP students from across Montreal w
 ill get to personally meet established professors\, researchers and entrep
 reneurs from diverse STEM (science\, technology\, engineering and mathemat
 ics) fields. Synapse Connect will also serve to initiate young students to
  the art of networking\, an \n\nimportant but often underappreciated skill
 .\n\n \n\nIYSMP is a non-profit\, student-run organization whose mission i
 s to encourage students in high school and CÉGEP to participate in STEM-re
 lated activities early on in their academic careers. IYSMP was founded by 
 a current 91ºÚÁÏÍø student in order to address the shortage of STEM-related 
 opportunities for younger students\, especially for those who study in und
 er resourced communities.\n\n \n\nIYSMP also hosts annual conferences with
  the purpose to provide a platform for high school and CÉGEP student to le
 arn from renowned professionals and gain exposure to STEM related activiti
