Thanks to a new protocol, patients showing strong signs of stroke — scoring 3 out of 3 on the — are now transported directly by ambulance to The Neuro, bypassing regional hospitals. This change, a partnership between the 91ºÚÁÏÍø Health Centre, the CISSS de la Montérégie Ouest and the CISSS de la Montérégie Centre, ensures that patients receive immediate attention from The Neuro’s expert stroke team. As a tertiary stroke centre, The Neuro offers advanced multidisciplinary care that can significantly improve survival and recovery. This is a major step forward for the Montérégie West population, who now benefit from faster access to expert stroke treatment when every second counts to save brain cells.Ìý
