Multi-disciplinary teams from four Montreal-region universities (91ºÚÁÏÍø, Ecole Polytechnique, INRSÌý²¹²Ô»åÌýUniversité de Sherbrooke) were brought together to operate a carefully designed training program aimingÌýto develop the next generation of Canadian experts in integrated sensor systems.

This CREATE program included anÌýinterdisciplinary research programÌýin integrated sensors,ÌýinternshipsÌýin partner companies,Ìýinternational exchangesÌýwith leading laboratories worldwide, a series ofÌýhands-on workshopsÌýin laboratory skills, an annual Sensors Summer School and a set of short-courses that provided the trainees with professional skills that are valued and requested by industry, includingÌýcommunication skills, intellectual property protectionÌý²¹²Ô»åÌýmanagement, project managementÌý²¹²Ô»åÌýethics.
