 ership in Family Medicine\n\nThe Department of Family Medicine’s Retreat i
 s an annual event that brings together faculty members\, researchers and c
 linicians to connect\, collaborate and reflect on the future of family med
 icine. The retreat features keynote presentations\, panel discussions\, wo
 rkshops and team-building activities that promote innovation in our discip
 line. This year's theme is titled Optimization and Impact: Advancing Resea
 rch\, Teaching and Leadership in Family Medicine.\n\nPlease note that the 
 Distributed Medical Education (DME) team are also organizing a retreat thi
 s year\, one week after the main Department retreat. The team will highlig
 ht the unique value of rural teaching\, followed by three engaging session

 end of this activity\, I will be able to: \n\n	\n		\n			\n				Build connections and 
 foster a sense of community with colleagues across the Department of Famil
 y Medicine. \n			\n			\n				Enhance my academic skills by improving teaching effecti
 veness\, strengthening leadership abilities\, and increasing engagement in
  research. \n			\n			\n				Contribute to departmental discussions through shared lea
 rning and reflection to support program improvements. \n			\n		\n	\n\n\n\n	Agenda
  \n\n	We are delighted to offer a rich and engaging program\, highlighted b
 y a plenary from Dr. Tara Kiran titled Reimagining Primary Care in Canada.
 \n\n	Participants will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of inter
 active workshops exploring topics such as AI in teaching\, supporting lear
 ners in difficulty\, patient-oriented research\, accountability and medico
 -legal practice (CMPA)\, and addressing misinformation in healthcare.\n\n	F
