DESCRIPTION:Equity and Anti-Racism in Academic Life Workshop\n\nThese sessi
 ons are being offered as part of a pilot project that is a collaboration b
 etween the Faculty of Science and the Office of the Provost and Vice Princ
 ipal (Academic).\n\nThis ninety-minute session is intended for faculty mem
 bers in Physics\, Math and Computer Science. The session will explore the 
 place\, role and purpose of equity and anti-racism both within our home De
 partments and Faculties\, and across 91ºÚÁÏÍø. Participants will examine the
  differences between direct and systemic discrimination and how each might
  impact education. They will identify what successful integration of EDI p
 ractices could look like in their own academic contexts specifically via c
 ase studies\, identifying and developing strategies for moving towards the
 se goals. The workshop will be led by Angela Campbell (Associate Provost\;
  Equity and Academic Policy) and Tynan Jarrett (Director\; EDI).\n\nThe se
 ssion will be given on four different dates:\n\n\n	February 24th from 10:30
 am to noon.\n	March 18th\, 1pm to 2:30 pm\n	April 14\, 1pm tp 2:30pm\n	May 17
