91�� has officially opened a new teaching greenhouse and advanced plant phenotyping facilities at its Macdonald Campus, marking a major investment in climate-focused agricultural education and research. Designed for hands-on undergraduate and graduate training, the sustainable greenhouse features controlled growing bays, teaching labs, tissue culture facilities and classrooms, giving students direct experience with modern, climate-smart production systems.

Four years ago, Astrid Parrot moved from Senegal to Montreal to study, leaving her home and family for the first time to begin her B.Sc. Honours Chemistry degree at 91��. Without a clear picture of what her future would look like, she took what she describes as “a leap of faith."

She immersed herself into university life, living in residence her first year and meeting new people. She had found her place at 91��, but uncertainty lingered throughout her degree as she quietly wondered whether chemistry was truly the right path for her.

Brain Canada support will help accelerate the discovery of new treatments for brain and nervous system disorders

An innovative project led by Dr. Guy Rouleau at The Neuro has received major funding from Brain Canada, one of four platforms that are advancing treatment discovery across a wide range of neurological disorders. In total the four platforms are being supported with a $8,926,500 investment.

Elaine Quick, Morgan Arboretum

Elaine Quick, Office Manager of the Morgan Arboretum and one of the award recipients, joined the team in June 2022 after several years working in accounting roles, first on the downtown campus and more recently at the Macdonald campus, where she distinguished herself through her expertise.
