DESCRIPTION:As instructors\, we sometimes encounter students who are suffer
 ing from anxiety\, depression or other mental conditions. Surveys show con
 sistently that the vast majority 91ºÚÁÏÍø students report that they have fel
 t stress to the point that it negatively affected their academic performan
 ce. So student mental health is a real issue.\n\nWe are often at a loss to
  know what to do to help a student in distress. An new initiative of Mac S
 tudent Services can help.\n\nA workshop on Mental Health Awareness will be
  offered in the Faculty Lounge 10-11:30 am on Tuesday January 30. The work
 shop is designed to help instructors know what to do and where to direct s
 tudents who need help.\n\nAll instructors and TAs are invited. There is no
  registration\; just come.\n
