 me to attend.\n\nABOUT THE SPEAKER:\n\nDr. Lopes received his PhD in Cell 
 Biology for research on the role of reactive oxygen species in the resolut
 ion of inflammation using models of rheumatoid arthritis. He came to Canad
 a after finishing this degree to work in the McKay Lab. there\, he worked 
 on three main projects: (1)\, helminth therapy for inflammatory diseases (
 principally colitis)\; (2) understanding the role of mitochondria in the m
 odulation of epithelial-bacterial interaction\; and\, (3) defining how Hym
 enolepis diminuta-derived molecules regulate the phenotype and function of
  myeloid cells.\n
